Ying scurried about across the small woodland looking for acorns and other food he could store for the winter. He was also gathering berries and drying them to store them. Beneath the roots of a large pine tree Ying made his home. The roots emerged from the ground and where all tangled making it hard for anything bigger then a Squirrel Tail to get through, and even he had to squeeze through. Under the roots he had made his home digging tunnels and rooms. He had lived here for two years now, ever since he had moved to this small woodland that didn't seem to have name. There was a room for where he stored food. From the ceiling he hung vines of berries drying on the right side of the room where pine nuts, on the left was acorns, then all the way in the back was a small spring that gave fresh water. In one corner was a huge pile of fresh moss to last the winter. There was a master room and two guest rooms. He had worked really hard on building this home and he didn't plan to ever move again.
Now back to Ying who was digging at the leaves that had fallen from a Black Walnut tree he had just recently found and he could smell some nuts buried beneath the leaves. After a moment he found a score of walnuts and he smiled excitedly. He stuffed walnut after walnut in his cheeks until he couldn't hold one more. Just as he was about to attempt to stuff one more in his cheeks he heard something and froze. He stood up on his hind legs and sniffed the air. There was someone out there watching him. He couldn't talk because his mouth was full.
